I experienced the Great American Eclipse under some clouds that rolled in, as is typical for astronomical events, during the moment of maximum eclipse. The birds stopped singing except for one squawking bird in a tall tree, the squirrels went home, the color of the ambient light changed from orange to blue as it would in the evening, the shadows on the ground became softer, the wind speed increased and the temperature cooled. I do a daily backup which checks for any changes in /etc and other directories that should not change unless you have done a backup. On Christmas Day someone or something changed the following files: /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/pubring.gpg /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/pubring.gpg~ /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/pubring.gpg.tmp /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/trustdb.gpg I rebuilt my repositories with pacman -Syy I reinstalled archlinux-keyring I am familiar with the shenanigans of cups changing their /etc files daily, but this is a first for me. I'm posting this as a warning of a possible break-in on Arch Linux systems.

My wife used to love Deluxe Pacman for the Amiga back in the 1990s. So when Commodore went bankrupt and I finally built an IBM PC, I got permission from the Amiga author of the game to remake a version for the PC just for my wife. I ended up putting it online for free for anyone else who wanted it and the last time I checked, it had been downloaded millions of times (not exaggerating) world wide, which still blows me away thinking about it. If you download Deluxe Pacman 2, and check the credits out, you will see a picture of my wife. Also, when you turn a ghost blue and eat it, the "ouch" sound effect you hear (one of three) is my wife's voice, only edited at a higher pitch. I never would have made this game if it was not for her. I am thinking about making a memorial edition in her memory. Anyhow, if anyone's curious, you can download it here for free, this is a github website, completely safe. There is Deluxe Pacman 1 for DOS, for older Windows (8bit colour versions) as well as a newer Deluxe Pacman 1 and Deluxe Pacman 2 which works on Windows 10. All versions also come with a level editor. If you're a programmer, I even have the source code for the old DOS version and newer Deluxe Pacman 2.
