There's a difference between a Conservative Republican and Republican.
Conservatives (short for Conservative Republican) don't support endless spending. Nor do they support war (unless absolutely necessary). They don't support socialism of any kind (not even welfare), but support the country's founding principles only. They support freedom, liberty, and the constitution, albeit somewhat regulated. Furthermore, they feel the constitution is exactly only what it says.
The Republicans (most will fit here), on the other hand, support endless spending, they support nation building, and endless wars, they support welfare, and some socialism, and they're more liberal when interpreting the constitution. They do support the constitution, freedom, and liberty, albeit heavily regulated. They also support the Nation's founding principles.
Now, conservatism IS NOT a party, that's why there's a Conservative Republican and a Republican. Those who are just Republicans are usually Swamp, corrupt, and most likely a RINO. But not all Republicans are like that. Just as not all Republicans are Conservative.
This is why I left the right, and now am a Libertarian (what the left deems a classical libertarian). I do not belong on the right in either category. Many on the right do, and that is fine. Believe as you wish.
As an afterthought, just as there is no such thing as a Conservative Democrat, there is no such thing as a moderate Republican or Democrat. Nor is there such thing as a Liberal Republican (that's a RINO).
