Cop Racks Up 6 Lawsuits Before He Quit! The Problem??? The TAXPAYERS get stuck with paying out these lawsuits! EVERY #Police Officer in this country MUST BE REQUIRED BY LAW to carry a "Liability Insurance" Policy to protect TAXPAYERS against lawsuits that stem from THE COP'S BEHAVIOR! Requiring liability insurance to be eligible to work as a LEO ensures that after several successful civil rights #Lawsuits the insurance company WILL DO what the Police FAIL TO DO. which is they'll cancel his policy leaving him unable to work in Law Enforcement ever again! Know what else it does? It makes the Cop (And his insurance) pay for his own mistakes! You know, like every other American must do? Forcing TAXPAYERS to pay these lawsuits is pure insanity! When a cop loses his insurance he should lose his PENSION and 401k and any other benefits he has accrued! Because HE CHOSE TO VIOLATE THE LAW! So we MUST HAVE ACCOUNTABILITY! POLICE refuse to hold dirty cop accountable! PROSECUTORS and JUDGES refuse to hold them accountable! But an insurance company is a BUSINESS, NOT #Government! They make decisions based o MONEY! And when a Police has been sued with civil rights violations on multiple occasions.... It won't take too many payouts and they'll say "Sorry dude, you are too violent" and they'll cancel the insurance and then he'll be forced to find another line of work PERMANENTLY! We also need to REQUIRE BY LAW tat active body cameras are running throughout each officers shift AND they need to be live streamed to the internet, to BOTH the Police Department AND to Citizen Oversight Committees You see THEN we'll get the Justice we've always DESERVED! As it stands we only get criminality and lack of accountability! Violating Either the insurance OR the body camera LAW should be reason for immediate dismissal!
