GOD'S WORD FOR TODAY
DAILY DEVOTIONAL
A PLACE TO REMEMBER
READ EXODUS 39:1 THROUGH 40:38
God gave Moses instructions on setting up the tabernacle, including the ark of the covenant, curtains, lamps and lampstands, tents, courtyard, and altar. He gave directions on what, when, where, how, and who. The directives weren’t without value. God’s glory filled the place.

Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle (Exodus 40:34).

The cloud covering their tent of meeting revealed what was actually filling the tabernacle—God’s presence. This was to remind the people of what God had done for them.

Today’s God’s Spirit dwells in the tabernacle of His people. Christians may be reminded of this through the ordinance of Holy Communion, a Scripture or prayer that doesn’t leave the mind, or a time when a friend agreed to forgive.

You don’t have to wait for a cloud to remind you of God’s goodness. He lives within you. Embrace every moment and remember God’s holiness and love as often as possible.

Challenge for Today: Choose today to remember your life as God’s dwelling place.
