Good day brothers and sisters. We’re here; the First Sunday of Advent. I absolutely love this time of year. I say that as it is the busiest time of year for my Employer the USPS and I serve on the front line assisting customers with their shipping needs. I also say that with the full knowledge that the Lord wasn’t born on December 25th. This time of year is perfect for observing the Advent of our Lord Yeshua though. The Evil One tried to use the Winter Solstice for his own purposes and early Christians were like uh uh no you don’t! Our Lord was indeed born during the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall, but we need His light in the middle of the dark dark winter. Many people are even depressed from the lack of sunlight, so we have the Son Light to cheer us up. Let’s see what the Smart Book has to say about our future and the Son of God;
Isaiah 2:1-5 Amplified Bible
God’s Universal Reign
2 The word [from God] which Isaiah son of Amoz saw [in a vision] concerning [the nation of] Judah and [its capital city] Jerusalem.2 Now it will come to pass that In the last days The mountain of the house of the LORD Will be [firmly] established as the [a]highest of the mountains,
And will be exalted above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it. 3 And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house (temple) of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go out from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 And He will judge between the nations, And will mediate [disputes] for many peoples; And they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up the sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. 5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Jerusalem is going to be on the highest, the chief, and the head of all of the world’s mountains literally and spiritually. All nations will be streaming to the world’s capitol. Our Lord Yeshua will be there to judge between nations and to mediate disputes for many peoples. All of the nations will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up the sword against nation and they will not even learn war. Let’s all of us go and walk in the light of the Lord. Allow His light to shine during this season of Advent.
The Lord bless and keep you, His face shine upon you,
Chaplain Loehne
