I forget who it was that said it, but there's this famous quote that goes something like "Never attribute to conspiracy what can be attributed to incompetence."

Me personally, I don't know about that quote. I don't really like it. I prefer a quote by Tsun Tsu from the art of war:

"An enemy can give you no greater gift than to underestimate you."

I don't feel like giving any gifts to conspirators today.
