I read that the people filing electronically are having to be proactive and fill out the fraud forms themselves. If you sent a paper return, the IRS sends you a 4883c to call to prove you are the one who filed yours. I had no tax return anyway, I don't care if they ever process it. I gave them the money. So here is a case where the paper return is far better than electronically. I still think this and the fraudulent SBA covid loan were both inside jobs.
