Good day brothers and sisters. It’s Memorial Day Weekend. We have so much to be thankful for because of the sacrifices of a few. We remember our fallen on this day. Some have lost their lives on the battle field, but some lived full lives with the scars of war. They all sacrificed their lives for our nation. It’s up to us the living to show respect and honor to those who have gone before. I personally go to several local cemeteries and place flags and flowers on the grave markers of those who I knew and served with in this life. I also fire a volley from my rifle after reading Flanders Field to honor the dead. Taps is playing in my head followed by tears for my brothers. I am sad that they are gone, but happy that they are with the Lord and His Army in heaven. Many never felt or believed that they deserved to go to heaven. They felt that the horrors of war would keep them from the door. It’s not true. God loved them and offered His grace to them. He has healed their wounds. They now stand with Him whole. Speaking of God, let’s see what the Smart Book has to say about Him today on this the Seventh Sunday of the Resurrection of our Lord Yeshua (Jesus Christ);
Psalm 97
Amplified Bible

The LORD’S Power and Dominion.
1The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice;
Let the many islands and coastlands be glad.
2Clouds and thick darkness surround Him [as at Sinai];
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3Fire goes before Him
And burns up His adversaries on all sides.
4His lightnings have illuminated the world;
The earth has seen and trembled.
5The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples see His glory and brilliance.
7Let all those be [deeply] ashamed who serve carved images,
Who boast in idols.
Worship Him, all you gods!
8Zion heard this and was glad,
And the daughters (cities) of Judah rejoiced [in relief]
Because of Your judgments, O LORD.
9For You are the LORD Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far above all gods.
10You who love the LORD, hate evil;
He protects the souls of His godly ones (believers),
He rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
11Light is sown [like seed] for the righteous and illuminates their path,
And [irrepressible] joy [is spread] for the upright in heart [who delight in His favor and protection].
12Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones [those whose moral and spiritual integrity places them in right standing with God],
And praise and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Yes, our Lord reigns. We should rejoice. He is a consuming fire. One day when He returns the earth is going to melt like wax. He will burn up all of our adversaries on all sides. Everyone, every nation will see His brilliantly bright glory. Everyone who did not worship the Lord will be ashamed. Finally all of the cities of Judah will rejoice in relief. He is exalted above all gods.
God will protect the souls of all His believers and rescue them from the hand of the wicked. Light has been sown (like a seed) for the righteous and it will illuminate our path and there will be so much joy for us who have been righteous. We all will praise and give thanks at remembering His holy name.
Remember the fallen as you decorate them graves, but especially remember the Lord who created them and took them home to be with Him!
The Lord bless and keep you, His Face shine upon you,
