Good morning it’s the Sixth Sunday of the Resurrection. Let’s see what the Smart Book has to tell us today;
Psalm 67

The Nations Exhorted to Praise God.
To the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.
67 God be gracious and kind-hearted to us and bless us,
And make His face shine [with favor] on us— Selah.

That Your way may be known on earth,
Your salvation and deliverance among all nations.
3
Let the [a]peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
4
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
For You will judge the people fairly
And guide the nations on earth. Selah.
5
Let the peoples praise You, O God;
Let all the peoples praise You.
6
The earth has yielded its harvest [as evidence of His approval];
God, our God, blesses us.
7
God blesses us,
And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder].
All nations and people are exhorted to praise God. First of all may God be gracious and kind-hearted to us and bless us, and make His face shine upon us. This will be because the Good News has been spread around the world. We should praise Him for His salvation and deliverance from sin. If you look at Israel today, they have a bountiful harvest because God has blessed them and He blesses us too. We should all reverently fear the Lord. If we do not fear the Lord, He will remove His hand of blessing and His face will no longer shine upon our nation. This is true of any nation that would deny the Lord. He will allow our enemies to come and plunder us.
Please pray for our nation to remember her youth. We loved and feared the Lord in our youth. We need to remember and return to our first love. We just celebrated Armed Forces Day, pray for our troops who now stand in harm’s way. We are a nation Under God and we must remain that way if we desire to be blessed with a bountiful harvest. We must desire His face to shine upon us in approval. We must fear the Lord. If we deny God, we are no better than any Socialist Democratic, Communistic nation. We should not desire to be like Russia, China, and North Korea for we will go the way of them too! Pray that God will bless the USA! We have a mighty God and we should act like it!
