OK folks, something easy to grasp. When you visit someone else's home, regardless if it's in the same country or not, be respectful. It's not your home. People don't grasp that concept and get beaten up for it. This is why when locals beat up on foreigners here when they visit many turn the blind eye. They were being disrespectful. So if you visit, not just Hawaii, but any state, be respectful. I was when I was in the continental US.
