Good day brothers and sisters. I pray that this finds you well and content from the Thanksgiving festivities. I must admit that I am overjoyed at the win Michigan had over Ohio State. Now they must face Iowa to have a chance at the playoffs. I pray that they win again. Whenever you hear of a big win by a team and they talk to the Coach and players, they almost always mention how it was a team effort. Do you know that our walk with the Lord is a team effort too? Let’s see what the Smart Book has to say today;
Psalm 25:1-10 King James Version
25 Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6 Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
1 Thessalonians 3:9-13 Amplified Bible
9 For what [adequate] thanks can we offer to God for you in return for all the joy and delight we have before our God on your account? 10 We continue to pray night and day most earnestly that we may see you face to face, and may complete whatever may be imperfect and lacking in your faith.
11 Now may our God and Father Himself, and Jesus our Lord guide our steps to you [by removing the obstacles that stand in our way]. 12 And may the Lord cause you to increase and excel and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; 13 so that He may strengthen and establish your hearts without blame in holiness in the sight of our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints (God’s people).
Look at how Paul and the Ministers that worked with him prayed for the Saints of the Lord in Thessalonica day and night. We were meant for prayer. We all have a ministry of prayer for the Saints, God’s People. Who are the Saints? They are; all born-again believers (saints) have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, made holy and set apart for God’s purpose. We are all on God’s team now. Winning and learning His way is a team effort. Let’s all do our part to stay on the paths of the Lord, paths of mercy and truth, and to keep His covenant and His testimonies. Let’s pray for and minister to one another.
The Lord bless and keep you, His Face shine upon you,
Chaplain Loehne
