A University of Calif-Riverside team has been granted $500,000 from the National Science Foundation (public money, of course) to work on a way to get plants to produce enough mRNA to replace an injection. https://bit.ly/3CweRsw In a university release, a team member said: - "Ideally, a single plant would produce enough mRNA to vaccinate a single person." - "We are testing this approach with spinach and lettuce and have long-term goals of people growing it in their own gardens.
