Help Fly Pets to Freedom
Flights to Freedom is Helping Pets After Hurricane Ida The September Flight to Freedom will fly nearly 100 dogs and cats from areas affected by Hurricane Ida. Your lifesaving donation will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $35,000, thanks to PEDIGREE Foundation's 'Flying to Forever Homes' initiative. Since Hurricane Ida slammed the Louisiana coastline, Greater Good Charities’ Good Flights program has conducted ground and flight transports of over 500 at-risk shelter pets. On September 14, we’re flying dozens of dogs and cats rescued from overcrowded shelters in Louisiana struggling in the wake of the hurricane. The pets are flying to the Pacific Northwest, where they will be quickly adopted into loving homes! Flying these pets out of the disaster area is critical to find them loving homes and clear space for incoming pets in Louisiana. Without this Flight to Freedom, this isn't possible. You can help! Your gift will help save these pets and fund future flights. Just $5 helps cover the fuel costs of flying a pet 125 miles towards safety. If you are able to contribute, please help these pets reach safety. Four of the pet passengers you've helped fly to new, loving homes. In shelters across the country, highly adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized just because the shelters are overcrowded. In other areas, shelters have a shortage of adoptable pets. Greater Good Charities' Good Flights work to save homeless pets by flying them to shelters where they're immediately adopted.
