Found this to be one of the best description of what nonconformity actually is. It's not the idiot person that dresses like a van gogh painting and wears black nail polish and retarded looking glasses and hair. It is the one that is in pursuit of personal rather than societal goals. This also means that conformity is one in which the individual is taken out of the objective and replaced with the group goal. It is easier to conform and one is easier to manage. Even the so called "nonconformist" is a part of the conforming unless individuality is the goal. So one can say, the goal of government, from a managerial standpoint, have found it easier to take away individuality, even though it has been proven to be more beneficial to the group as a whole, and slam nonconformist, individuals, by isolating them in a social network.
