Two days ago, while camped at the USN FamCamp, I was Just finishing breakfast when I looked out the window and noticed several trucks on the beach. The people seemed to be collecting things off of the beach and putting them in their trucks. Curious, I decided to go check it out. I found that there were hundreds of Sea Turtles that had washed up on shore due to the cold. I joined in on collecting them and transporting them to a warehouse here on base. The warehouse was overwhelmed with hundreds of turtles so we ended up transporting as many as we can to the Wildlife center on Padre Island. I was on my second trip transporting them when the National Wildlife Assn. got involved and took operations over from us. I do hope I made a difference. Those sea turtles are beautiful animals. Photo and a cool video to follow. I am full time traveling to fulfill a bucket list I have and this was not on it but it was added. What an experience. I heard that the news of the turtles reached world wide.
