Ok second movie today. Watching The Colour Out Of Space and speaking as a man who has read everything Lovecraft has ever written I can tell you that I am only 6 minutes into the film and that Hollywood is only vaguely going to hold onto the premise of the original story. They have already written in SJW tropes and a love interest. That and the fact that Nicolas Cage is in the movie does not bode well.

And the record still stands. No one has made an accurate movie of an HP Lovecraft story ever. The closest movies so far (i think) were not even based directly on his work. More like Lovecraftian Tropes. Those movies would be: In The Mouth Of Madness by John Carpenter and The Mist (90s Movie Not That Damn Series) which was a movie based on a story by the same name written by Stephen King.

Honorable Mention to Event Horizon and From Beyond
