The Pythagorean Theorem ~1000 Years before Pythagoras

We live in an age where much of what we have all been taught or believe finds its roots in much older traditions, history, and mythology. What better example of this then with a famous mathematical theorem.

The #Sumerians developed one of the first if not the first writing system and counting systems leading to education, record keeping, engineering, astronomy as few examples. Each following civilization/empire like the #Akkadians , #Bablyonians , #Assyrians , #Hittites , and #Persians improved, expanded, and refined on much from that first civilization.

We are just beginning to understand how much of our current civilization finds it source from these ancient peoples.
