NOMAD BUSHFIRE FRAUD Nomad bikies arrested in relation to ‘fraudulent bushfire claims’ 03/03/2020 Police have arrested three Nomad bikies in relation to allegations a bushfire charity was ripped off after the deadly bushfires swept through Australia. NSW Police have released a statement alleging the four bikies were arrested after “detectives received information about alleged drug supply, extortion, assaults, and fraudulent bushfire claims against a charity organisation”. No charges have yet been laid. The men – aged 25, 26, 31 and 33 – were arrested in a series of raids in Sunshine Bay and Batehaven at 7.30 am today. One of the bikies is described as being a “senior member of the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang” while the other two were “associates”. A fourth man was arrested in the raids but police have not indicated whether he has formal bikie links.
