In his novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, George Orwell described a Thought Police that constantly surveils everything citizens say or write or share with their friends. If you say anything that goes against the party's official narrative or commandments, cops with guns show up at your doorstep. Orwell's nightmare is happening today to many around the world including a colony of the British dictatorship called Australia.
