The Illegal Use of Gag Orders Time and time again we find government not staying within the boundaries the we have established for them. Issuing gag orders on a trial yet to come is a violation of the #5thAmendment. Those accused have the #PresumptionOfInnocence and therefore their civil rights should not be curtailed by the prosecuting attorney or a judge. The concept lost on many is that a criminal trial is the process by which a person's #CivilLiberties are suspended or permanently removed based on a sentence that has been authorized by a #TrialByJury.
