Known to cause CANCER. Suspected gastroin- testinal, liver, nerve and respiratory, skin and sense organ POISON.

From pubs.acs.org: Direct exposure to BPL, in addition to probable carcinogenicity, brings severe irritations to several systems, including skin burns and permanent damage to the eye, liver, and kidney. (5) Even at a single administered dose, BPL is shown to be highly tumorigenic, genotoxic, and carcinogenic in experimental animals.
