It’s hard to think of better way to floor people’s confidence in the electoral process than by keeping people from observing the tally. “It’s not who votes that counts, it’s who counts the votes” as a madman once said. And every news firm not taking this instance of shenanigans as seriously as it demands know exactly what they’re doing.

But Detroit is known for this kind of behavior. It is a large, politically monopolistic urban center after all. It was doing okay for a while – after all the people claiming gentrification was a problem started gentrifying it – but when corona-chan skipped and hopped into town and Whitmer decided it would be a good idea to dumpster decades of recovery efforts, the city’s on a path to becoming a complete shithole again. Especially if BLM ever makes a more concerted effort there, which I’m sort of surprised they haven’t. It might sound like a joke, but their police chief, Mike Duggen, is uncommonly competent for a Detroit city official considering the thanklessness and absurdly demanding nature of his work. Go figure.

You can assume safely that Detroit – with all its shitty sports teams – would be khan of all safe places to conduct fraud in Michigan. Second only to perhaps Flint or Traverse City – one has filthy water and the other has filthy hipsters. Fortunately, the clip of the poll watchers being denied – which was recorded and posted from someone inside the facility for some reason – was been very widely circulated and a lot of people here aren’t having it. It may come as a shock to some, but most people in this state don’t want to have their chief executives decided by a city that can’t get it’s streetlights to work half the time.
